L-Homocysteinesulfinic Acid-d4 is obtained from L-Methionine-3,3,4,4-d4 which is used in analytical study for synthesis of deuterated L-methionine for use as substrate for methionine loading test. Deuterium labelled analog of L-Homocysteinesulfinic acid which has been proven to be a potent and selective metabotropic glutamate receptor agonist which may be related to diseases associated with moderate hyperhomocysteinemia. Used in biosynthesis of dipthamide.
