N-Fmoc-L-tyrosine Benzyl Ester is used to synthesize truncated analogues of preptin-(1-16) as possible osteoblast proliferation stimulant. It is also an intermediate used to prepare phosphotyrosinyl phosphoramidite derivatives useful in the incorporation of multiple reporter groups on synthetic oligonucleotides.
