3-Amino-10-(diethylamino)-5,6-dihydro-Benzo[c]xanthylium is the fluorescent product formed when TPNIR-FP (two-photon-excitable and near-IR-emissive fluorescent probe) is exposed to mitochondrial ONOO-. This was flourscent probe was used to show that ONOO- is upregulated in the mitochondria as a early response to carditoxicity due to Anthracyclines, an antineoplastic.
