4-Amino-1-N-Cbz-piperidine is a chemical reagent used in the synthesis of fluoro-olefins as peptidomimetic inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidases. Also used in the synthesis of β-lactamase inhibitors for treatment of bacterial infections which are resistant to β-lactam antibiotics.
