Dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepin-11-amine is also used as a reactant to synthesize 2-substituted-3-cyano-4-imino-4-H-dibenzo[b,f][1,3]diazino[2,1-d][1,4]thiazepines, compounds that may have anticancer properties.
