β-Aminomethyl-benzeneethanol is used in the preparation of thazolinones as potent CDK1 inhibitors promoting antitumor activity. It is also used in the synthesis of gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor antagonists which affect the endocrine system, suppressing hormone release.
