(E,E)-Farnesyl Thiol shows inhibitory activity against human isoprenylcysteine carboxyl methyltransferase (Icmt) protein. Inhibitors of Icmt can be developed as another approach to anticancer drug development. We will provide a detailed procedure for the preparation of the thiol from the thiolacetate with spectral data upon request.
