N-4-(7-Chloroquinolinyl)-N’-3-[4-(7-Chloroquinolinyl)]-1-piperazinyl]-1-propylethylenediamine is an impurity of Piperaquine (P480050, tetraphosphate) which is a 4-aminoquinoline derivative used as an antimalarial agent. Piperaquine interferes with physiological function of the food vacuole membrane of the trophozoites leading to autophagocytosis of the parasites.
